Sales Team Lead

About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Team Lead to manage our sales territories and lead the sales team to meet and exceed established goals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting and tracking team members' goals, creating business plans to uncover new opportunities, and increasing sales and profits in the territories.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage sales territories and lead the sales team to achieve established goals.
- Set and track team members' goals and performance metrics.
- Create business plans to uncover new opportunities and increase sales and profits in the territories.
- Perform inbound and outbound sales calls to quote prices, provide product information, and build relationships with customers.
- Communicate regularly with the team to inform them of daily sales tracking, customer and product information, and other relevant updates.
- Prepare forecasts for monthly and quarterly performance by customer.
- Assign duties to team members to ensure coverage and completion of all relevant tasks.
- Evaluate customer slippage reports to determine which customers to focus attention on.
- Keep track of each account's credit status and interact with the Credit department as necessary to resolve customer credit issues.
- Update profiles on all accounts to anticipate and fulfill their business needs.
- Participate in vendor-sponsored and corporate-sponsored training and meetings to stay up-to-date on new and existing products, industry trends, and company knowledge.
- Establish consistent and frequent competitive intelligence reports from customers to the Sales Manager, Human Capital Management, and Leadership.
- Maintain records, performance information, and documentation.
- Provide and pursue necessary training and development for employees.
- Conduct team member performance management, including administering Performance Improvement Plans, RoHR, monthly MBOs, attendance, and adherence to TD policies and procedures.
- Responsible for team reward and recognition programs, including nominations and monitoring of division and corporate programs.
- Perform other additional duties as assigned.

- Able to prepare/analyze appropriate reports and other business correspondence.
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
Requirements and qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED plus the established minimum requirements for the position.
- 2-3 years supervisory experience.
- Experience in the Sales or IT industry is a plus.
- 100% proficiency in English.
