The Amazon Business team is dedicated to develop solutions that make it easy for business customers to source, procure, and manage supply chain using Amazon.
As a Senior Sales Manager for our SMB team, you will be having the opportunity to:
- Lead a team of Sales People Managers who are in charge of Customer Advisors & Account Representatives who engage with Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs - defined as those businesses having annual revenues between $25-50MM), from prospecting to strategic account growth.
- Go-to-market acquisition, creating management plans, and team within assigned industry sub-verticals.
- Take ownership of all verticals within commercial sector and become a leading expert on supply chain practices, needs, and opportunities for SMB customers
- Determine the best go-to-market approach for SMBs, including direction for solution/product development and services
- Take lead on hiring open positions on the team
- Develop and nurture Customer Advisors (sales reps) as they improve their skills, processes, and tools to effectively prospect, present, close, and grow adoption of Amazon Business
- Participate in customer meetings to support Customer Advisors (sales reps) as they work with their customers
- Represent the Voice of the Customer by working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Operations, Professional Services, and Product/Tech teams. There will be an especially important relationship with Marketing, so experience here is a plus.
- Myriad of surrounding business management functions that you will need to direct for the success of your team (e.g. marketing, product development, supply sourcing).

Note**: This role requires availability to travel for internal business presentations and customer meetings outside Costa Rica.
- 5-10+ years of management experience leading a sales team (preferably an SMB sales team)
- 5+ years of sales experience selling to SMBs ($25-50MM)
- 3+ years of sales experience selling to procurement roles (or similar decision-makers for SMBs)
- Entrepreneurial background with proven ability to deal with ambiguity, pivot quickly, adapt new processes, and run fast
