Job Description:
The Veeam Backup and Replication (VBR) technical support engineer plays a critical role in providing technical assistance to IT professionals. This trusted role requires broad and in-depth troubleshooting skills and product knowledge to solve challenging technical issues.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Performing thorough troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation;
- Acting as a technical focal point in relationships with fellow IT Professionals;
- Taking ownership of customer problems or issues from beginning to resolution, troubleshooting in Veeam and third-party components, and educating customers on processes and interactions;
- Accurate documentation of all customer interactions within SLA in our CRM tool.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need advanced user or administrative level skills in Windows OS (2008(r2)/2012(r2)/2016), as well as practical knowledge of TCP/IP, networking configuration/troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS). Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux, VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange server administration, and database engines (SQL/Oracle) is a plus.
