The Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities

This role will involve performing account analysis, preparing and approving account reconciliations, preparing accounting statements and reports, and coordinating and managing account reporting and filings. You will plan, coordinate, and resolve accounting matters with other accounting members, departments, locations, and divisions.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely and quality completion of period close processes.
  • Managing analysis of balance sheet and P&L transactions.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving Account Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Executing and/or supervising month-end close activities and communicating risks and opportunities to Associate Manager.
  • Finding opportunities to improve closing activities and drive process improvement.
  • Taking a leadership role for accounting-related issues and ensuring company adherence to policies and procedures, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
  • Maintaining business partnerships with other client departments, locations, and regions, and internal customers/suppliers.
  • Overseeing and supporting the clerk positions in the team by promoting a team environment and providing work direction and guidance.

About the Role

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and proficiency in the English language. You should have computer literacy, particularly in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with ERP systems, such as JDE or HFM, is also required. Additionally, 4-5 years of relevant working experience in a finance function in a matrixed international company with complex reporting practices and exposure to various reporting systems is necessary. Experience working in a shared service center across a global/large organization will be an added advantage.
