Azure Technical Support Specialist

As a Technical Support Engineer for Azure Apps Services, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our Enterprise customers.
Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Representing Microsoft and communicating with corporate customers via telephone, written correspondence, or electronic service regarding problems identified in Microsoft software products
- Managing relationships with customers and being flexible to work in different shifts
- Using trace analysis, source code, and other sophisticated debugging tools to analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs
- Acquiring and coordinating resources from other groups as needed to resolve customer issues
- Sharing knowledge with other engineers and developing customer solutions efficiently
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing an outstanding technical support experience to our Enterprise customers
- Owning and managing investigations over the phone and Web
- Communicating technically complex information with Microsoft's developer customers
- Creating advanced technical content including Microsoft Knowledge Base articles, samples, whitepapers, and training
- Driving resolution of critical situations (CritSits) and ensuring smooth execution through the life of the crisis
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience
- 3+ years of Enterprise technical customer support experience or software development experience
- Technical experience in at least 3 of the following areas:
- MVC frameworks, particularly ASP.NET MVC
- IIS configuration and HTTP requests handling
- Azure App Services and Cloud Services
- Database technologies: MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and CosmosDB
- Continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Oryx, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
- Programming and/or troubleshooting technical issues with C#, Python, JavaScript, Node, PowerShell, Java
- Troubleshooting REST API Calls using Postman or other REST API tools
Familiarity with GitHub, DevOps, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio Deployments, networking skills, understanding network traces, and basics of IIS is also preferred.
