Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Account Manager to join our team. As a Junior Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving account revenue, new sales, and retention within Individual Investor portfolios. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to actively pursue new business opportunities and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals and retention of current revenue with a strong overall expectation of net revenue growth.
Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer decision-makers' strategies, priorities, and needs.
- Maintain a solid understanding of business propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest.
- Build and embed a long-term trusted advisor relationship within accounts.
- Drive growth by expanding the company's footprint within accounts.
- Maintain overall customer engagement and expand and retain managed net revenue.
- Oversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end-to-end customer relationship.
- Drive efficiency in account administration, especially for lower-value and growth-potential accounts.
- Govern internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals.
- Accountable and responsible for simple order taking.
- Assist senior account managers on administrative tasks, including monitoring and creation of CAAs and cases.
- Participate in projects assigned by the Emerging team.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- A strong understanding of customers and their business models and workflows.
- Industry experience within the customer segment.
- Strong product knowledge.
- Relationship-building skills.
- Selling skills, including identifying, developing, and articulating complex propositions/consultative selling.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, and ability to use various technology with a high level of proficiency.
- Problem-solving ability to understand, articulate, structure, and solve client needs.
- Presentation and communication skills, including delivering presentations and communicating at all levels within an organization.
- Ability to collaborate with account teams.
- University or college degree may be required; equivalent experience may be considered depending on position/department.
- Advanced degree may be preferred.
- Significant work experience in applicable industries and knowledge of customer workflows required.
- Shown competencies in account management, sales, or marketing experience in a customer-facing environment required.
- Customer relationship management required throughout all levels within an organization.
