About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Manager to join our team at Microsoft. As a Group Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering critical operational services that enable compliant, accurate, and timely transactions and world-class support for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Management
    • Empower and hold team members accountable for delivering results
    • Model our leadership principles and create an open and inclusive environment
    • Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential
  • Business Program Planning and Design
    • Lead teams to perform program landscape research and analysis to identify business trends and opportunities
    • Help teams understand overall business goals, objectives, and strategies
    • Coach teams to identify and resolve root problems and define program strategy
  • Business Program Excellence and Execution
    • Lead teams to define and execute on a landing and communication plan
    • Help teams maintain the rhythm of business and ensure participants and stakeholders are communicating and responding accordingly
    • Evangelize the program to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy-in
  • Business Program Management
    • Oversee a portfolio of projects, including project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, and performance metrics
    • Ensure capacity of the team is aligned to project workload and complexity
    • Communicate program status to relevant stakeholders and hold them accountable for following established schedule and processes
  • Business Program Evaluation and Improvement
    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to examine performance to value drivers
    • Drive monthly business review and identify areas for improvement
    • Collect and evaluate success criteria and performance metrics to monitor programs and ensure alignment with business and program objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field, and 4+ years of work experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of management experience, including people, project, process, vendor, or change management
  • Business-level fluency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field, and 8+ years of experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field, and 6+ years of program management experience, process management, or process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of people management experience
  • Experience working in a customer service environment and in a large matrixed multinational company
  • Technical, business, financial, and marketing background to drive pipeline management, support services, process improvement, and business analytics
  • Experience with similar industry business value deal constructions
  • Experience with Microsoft licensing concepts, including contracts, quotes, and invoices, as well as evaluation and review of complex proposals, agreements, and amendments
  • Experience in complex, global programs where design, development, and implementation of new processes, systems, and organizations are required
