Regional Sales Development Manager

The Regional Sales Development Manager will work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to drive revenue growth and ensure property needs are being met. This role is responsible for coordinating site inspections, executing site visits, and pulling through business to achieve revenue goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with off-property sales channels to drive revenue growth and meet property needs.
- Coordinate site inspections and execute site visits to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Pull through business and achieve revenue goals by working closely with the Sales Office.
- Implement the brand's service strategy and drive customer loyalty by delivering exceptional service throughout each customer interaction.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to upsell products and services.
- Engage in proactive selling of all facilities to leisure guests and group planners.
- Assist in selling, implementation, and follow-through of group sales promotions.
- Buid relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
- Attend and facilitate pre-planning visits to ensure customer communication is consistent.
- Handle event planning aspects prior to business turnover.
- Coordinate and plan FAM trips and in-market customer events.
- Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover to Event Management.
- Attend pre- and post-convention meetings to understand group needs and obtain feedback on quality of product and service levels.
Addtional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute group site inspections/visits at the hotel for remote sales offices.
- Partner with account/selling manager to develop creative aspects of site visit.
- Gather customer data from account/selling manager to plan appropriately.
- Greet site clients and escort overnight guests to their rooms.
- Act as Personal Concierge to client while on site to help coordinate special requests.
- Assist with transportation requests for sites and ensure client is met upon arrival.
- Prepare sales and operational staff for upcoming site inspections.
- Attend department stand up meetings to discuss upcoming sites.
- Set quality standards for all site inspections.
- Develop group site standards and pricing guidelines to control expenses and allow for accurate projecting.
- Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses to differentiate Marriott during site visit.
- Understand market and implement appropriate sell.
- Provide expert knowledge on local destination.
- Grow business of existing accounts by soliciting them for future open years while onsite.
- Track bookings and leads generated from site visits.
