About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for a creative and proactive professional to develop and implement a focused media and community relations program that drives awareness and exposure for our properties and restaurants.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building relationships with travel writers and local media, as well as experience in crisis communications and public relations.

">

Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy that includes soliciting new media outlets and travel media individuals.">
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and national resources to build awareness and increase exposure for our properties and restaurants.">
  • Select opportunities based on market conditions and property needs.">
  • Use creative selling abilities to obtain maximum exposure through travel journalists and media outlets.">
  • Coordinate community service activities and support hotel press releases and other content.">
  • Solicit and maintain relationships with travel writers and local media.">
  • Conduct site inspections with visiting journalists and maintain detailed files and records on property's public materials.">
  • Ensure property follows corporate public relations guidelines.">
  • Empower creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion while setting the standard for rare and special luxury.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.">
  • At least 3 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or a related field.">
  • Proven track record of building relationships with travel writers and local media.">
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.">
  • Familiarity with Marriott International, Inc.'s policies and procedures.">
