About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Discovery and Service Mapping Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ServiceNow administration, including Discovery and Service Mapping, as well as experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, RegEx, SQL, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Service Mapping
  • Create and maintain custom patterns, probes, and sensors to accommodate internal discovery requirements
  • Establish and maintain discovery schedules
  • Monitor discovery and service mapping results, reconciling and addressing any anomalies
  • Proactively plan capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and maintain and configure appropriately
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience or combination of education, experience and training
  • Experience setting up Service Mapping for both on-prem and cloud systems
  • Blend of knowledge and technical expertise in: ServiceNow administration, including Discovery and Service Mapping; Discovery probes, sensors, and patterns; Scripting using JavaScript, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, RegEx, SQL, etc.; Network concepts such as routing, switching, firewalls, NAT, load balancing; Linux and Windows Server Operating System administration; Protocols such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST; Web and Application servers such as WebSphere, JBoss, MQ, IIS, Apache; Markup languages such as XML and JSON; Microsoft Active Directory architecture; Storage Area Network technologies; Virtualization concepts and technologies
