Telecommunication Specialist Role Overview

This position is located in the CRM Division at Aerocentro, Alajuela. As a Telecommunication Specialist, you will work in a Contact Center environment under close supervision and follow established procedures to provide answering services and paging for Abbott Sales Representatives, physicians, and hospital personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls from hospitals' staff when a patient presents in an emergency room indicating they have an Abbott implanted pacer or defibrillator
  • Pull up patient tracking information and take down contact details for the calling hospital
  • Determine the Sales Representative covering the hospital or city/state and send case information via text message
  • Perform outbound calls to confirm receipt of case information
  • Triage calls using approved procedures and seek guidance when necessary

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a dynamic Contact Center environment with Monday-to-Friday hours from 7am to 4pm.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of experience in customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or related roles
  • Familiarity with computer systems including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in biotech, bio-instruments, or medical devices industries
  • Background in enterprise/cross-division business units

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

The salary range is based on industry standards for this role and location.
