At Huntsman, we're seeking an IT Systems Support Specialist to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team in Costa Rica. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About the Role

We're looking for an individual with excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach. As an IT Systems Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch support to our end-users, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with the team to drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with users to identify current operating procedures, problems, and requirements
  • Design models and develop materials used for analysis and solution development, including process maps and diagrams
  • Develop documentation and other aids for users to assist with installation, maintenance, and operating procedures
  • Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work
  • Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function
  • Knows/applies fundamental concepts of standard practices and procedures of particular field of specialization
  • Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibility
  • Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required
  • Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives
  • Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals
  • Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
  • Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Technology Management with 5+ years of equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in information technology in a deskside support environment
  • Broad Knowledge of IT Software / Hardware and systems to be able to understand the inter-dependencies within service provision and anticipate problem areas

Desirable Skills:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English; Any other languages are an extra asset
  • Experience in working in a multinational environment
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing, very complex and technical environment
  • Promotes and supports standardization and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated customer focus, empathy, and structured thinking are required, together with high standards of process adherence and a proven record of client satisfaction

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
