Overview
Citi, a leading global bank, seeks an experienced and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Head Teller. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service and supporting the branch in generating revenue.
Job Description
The Head Teller is an entry-level position that plays a critical role in executing day-to-day banking activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Executing daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks, inspections, and correspondence with virtual branch support;
- Leading and mentoring tellers through assigning work and providing technical guidance when needed;
- Serving as the first point of contact for Citi clients and providing a positive first impression through friendly and efficient customer service;
- Performing efficient and accurate banking transactions, including managing cash supply for the branch, processing incoming/outgoing cash deposits, and maintaining branch vault cash;
- Adhering to bank policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets;
- Ensuring all client needs are met and effectively managing any client issues/concerns, escalating as needed;
- Maintaining working knowledge of client accounts as well as new and existing products and services offered;
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience;
- Demonstrated sales and customer service experience;
- Money handling experience;
- Demonstrated leadership skills;
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills;
- The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment;
Education
A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
