Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Cencora. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective, efficient, and professional workplace environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of business operations, initiatives, and manage day-to-day facility operations and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of the office building, monitoring and updating of contracts for utilities, and efficient consumption.
- Work closely with the property management company to report maintenance problems, schedule work requests, and report housekeeping inconsistencies.
- Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with country and industry laws, policies, and regulations.
- Control and administer services activities, such as parking space allocation, waste disposal, recycling, transportation, building security, and access.
- Act as a primary contact for vendors, addressing immediate issues and collaborating on necessary changes.
- Manage Workplace Health & Safety procedures, coordinate implementation of facilities management services, and processes to ensure a suitable working environment.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Support and promote the maintenance of a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment.
- Site Services support by coordinating and owning tasks related to physical assets, procurement & sourcing of local services, and other services required for site operation.
- Support local department's operations and daily requests, working with internal departments to plan and facilitate office procedures, assist with organization, and initiate ready workspace procedures.
- Manage and partner with IT to maintain site technology and software usage for space planning, visitor system programs, and conference room A/V and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain emergency/disaster preparedness and recovery plans.
- Work with Workplace leaders to generate and oversee site expenses and budgets.
Requirements
- Broad training in fields such as business administration, facilities management, accountancy, marketing, obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program.
- Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years related and progressively responsible experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong understanding of facility management and security concepts and principles.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to engage, train, motivate, and direct the work of others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Adept at handling sensitive and confidential situations.
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- EHS Management Systems.
- Relevant experience.
- Fluent proficiency in English/Bilingual English/Spanish.
