Technical Support Engineer and Virtualization Specialist in Costa Rica

**Role Overview**
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our Compute North/South America (NASA) Team. As a Technical Support Level 1 Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, leveraging virtualization technologies to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
**Key Responsibilities**
Your primary focus will be on completing the extensive VMware onboarding process. Once onboarded, you will collaborate with your peers to support global customers' issues. You will have the opportunity to work with experienced engineers to expand your troubleshooting, research, and lab reproduction skills to resolve complex issues.
As your skill set grows, you will work on additional product lines, progress your knowledge on more technologies, and contribute to shaping product development based on customer feedback.
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience in troubleshooting Windows (MCSE/MCP)
- Experience with Server Management Software (HP Insight Manager, IBM Director, Dell Open Manage)
- Experience in troubleshooting Linux or UNIX and providing technical support to customers
- Experience in LAN/WAN environments
- Experience with kernel (Linux) or registry (Windows) configuration and debugging
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware-related issues
- Experience Troubleshooting Operating system support
- Experience Performance troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Systems
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment
- Flexible to work evening/night hours and weekends long term if required
**Preferred Qualifications**
3 years or more experience in a relevant Technical Support Engineering role. Experience in Virtualization & Cloud computing will be preferred.
