The IT Business Senior Analyst position is a vital role in Citi's Technology team, requiring an individual who can effectively bridge the gap between business users and technologists. As an intermediate-level position, this role demands strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:Our ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives for complex projects, fostering effective communication between business leaders and IT teams. Key tasks include:
- Consulting with users and clients to resolve complex system issues through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems, and industry standards;
- Solving complex problems and recommending solutions that meet the needs of both business stakeholders and IT teams;
- Providing input based on analysis of information during system change processes from requirements through implementation;
- Determining system functional specifications and offering user and operational support to business clients;
- Acting as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team;
To excel in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or business administration. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Technology Business Analyst is required, along with expertise in SQL and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytics skills, excellent English language proficiency, and the ability to operate with autonomy are also essential.
Candidates should demonstrate a deep understanding of software architecture, requirements management processes, and project management methodologies. Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously and a proven track record of solving complex problems are highly valued. Additionally, successful candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to build rapport with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
