Job Summary
The Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in the Analyst Eligibility team, responsible for coordinating the end-to-end process of Key Analyst allocation to credit ratings globally, aligning with all applicable regulatory requirements.
This includes timely completion of analyst assignment requests, reporting to business collaborators and senior management, and investigating process exceptions.
The individual will collaborate closely with various key team members across the Moody's Investors Service organization, responsible for:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processing analyst assignments in line with operational and regulatory requirements globally, including Analyst Rotation, Conflict, and Analyst Certification requirements.
- Management of required analyst rotation.
- Timely completion of daily/weekly/monthly regulatory checks, including investigation of policy breaches.
- Management of queries from internal team members and provision of SME knowledge on analyst eligibility and associated regulatory and compliance policies and guidelines.
- Periodic and ad-hoc management and regulatory reporting.
- Process training and maintenance of supporting content and training materials (internal procedures, mentorship documents, etc.).
- Proactive assistance with key initiatives, including operational improvements, organizational change, data quality review, and remediation on an ad-hoc basis.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Undergraduate BA/BS degree in Business, Management, or a similar field.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations, business process, and/or business analysis.
- Ability to interact comfortably with different levels of management and articulate/present issues clearly and succinctly.
- Self-starter and standout colleague with the ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple, challenging priorities.
- Outstanding social skills with the ability to reach across the organization to optimally resolve requests/inquiries.
- Highly organized and efficient, with attention to detail and social skills.
- Ability to supervise, facilitate, negotiate, and resolve interpersonal or inter-team conflicts.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (VBA is desirable).
- Excellent PowerPoint and visualization skills a must; knowledge of PowerBi and other data analytics/visualization tools a plus.
- Knowledge of Moody's rating systems, analysis tools, and operational processes a plus.
