Ex2 Outcoding is seeking a seasoned Sr. Support Engineer to join our elite support team.

About the Role

This highly specialized position requires an experienced professional with advanced-level technical expertise to provide premium support to Alation customers, partners, and prospects.

Key Responsibilities

- Offer expert-level technical assistance via phone, email, or chat to resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of at least one support specialization area and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for internal and external customers.
- Contribute significantly to the Alation Support Knowledge Base by creating high-quality technical documentation, such as KB articles, runbooks, community FAQs, product documentation, etc.
- Deliver engaging internal and external technical enablement sessions to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Design and utilize sophisticated lab environments to replicate and resolve intricate problems.

Requirements

- Proven experience troubleshooting Linux and executing shell commands.
- Proficiency with Relational Databases, including Oracle and Postgres, with SQL being a fundamental requirement.
- Familiarity with Web servers, such as Apache and Nginx.
- Experience with REST APIs.

Bonus Skills

- Postgres (DB internals) expertise.
- JDBC drivers proficiency.
- Elasticsearch, NoSQL, MongoDB knowledge.
- Hadoop Ecosystem (Hive, HBase) skills.
- Cloud technologies and frameworks like Kubernetes and Docker.
