At Emerson, we are seeking a highly skilled AP Accounting Specialist to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**
The AP Accounting Specialist will be responsible for:
- Processing vendor invoices into our ERP accounting system.
- Ensuring non-purchase order invoices have proper approvals by checking against a published delegation of authority document.
- Responding promptly and tactfully to employee and other internal customer inquiries.
- Using lean principles and departmental collaboration to reduce cycle time and costs.
- Reconciling GRIR unvoucher reports to invoices vouched in the system and requesting copies of any missing invoices.
- Reviewing Invoice hold reports, non-invoiced receipt reports, and unapproved invoices.
- Following up with vendors, approvers, and purchasing to remove exceptions from DataServ.
- Collaborating proactively with vendors and peers to reduce cycle time and costs.
- Interacting with auditors, accountants, and management as needed to provide information about the department and specific issues.
- Planning own work scope to keep operational excellence at target.
- Coordinating emergency payments with a sense of urgency.
- Vendor clean-ups and balance reclassifications.
- Managing the balance between high-volume items and critical priorities according to financial impacts.
- Being proactive on issue resolution by generating tickets and triggering escalations on time.
- Documenting and updating standard operating procedures and own process workflows.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of AP accounting processes.

- Proficiency in ERP accounting systems.
