Splunk is looking for a high-reaching and experienced Senior AP Operations Analyst to join its Accounts Payable team and be one of the first to help us establish our Costa Rica shared services center
This role requires a highly motivated individual with high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
The ideal individual will assist with day-to-day AP operations including invoice processing, vendor payments, GL account & vendor account reconciliations and perform RCA on AP related issues.
You will collaborate with global cross functional teams to ensure efficient and timely operations of the AP function.
This position reports to the Manager, AP Operations in Costa Rica.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage all AP team communications with internal and external business partners via ServiceNow, Gmail and Slack and escalate inquiries with AP management as necessary.
- Monthly review of debit balances to submit to AP Manager for sign off.
- Review and approve invoices over $100K for accuracy and completeness.
- Process weekly payment & adhoc payment runs including urgent manual wires
- Perform vendor account reconciliations
- Perform monthly end, quarter-end and year-end close duties such as but not limited to reconciling auto-debited invoices, manual credit card payments, clearing EBS entries and GL account reconciliations.
- Assist with requests from internal SOX auditors and annual external audit.
- Effectively collaborate with cross functional teams Accounting, Tax, Payroll, Procurement, FP&A, Legal and Business Owners.
- Assist AP Management Team with ad-hoc requests for cash flow analysis and special projects within scope and designated timeline.

- Assist with the preparation of annual 1099 filing.
- Assist the AP manager with managing inquiries which involves communicating requirements with management, vendors and business owners to ensure accuracy.
Ability to assess and quickly escalate crucial issues to management.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of Accounts Payable, General Ledger or equivalent Accounting experience.
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), SAP, Ariba or equivalent.
- Good aptitude working with systems, process improvements and automation.
- English Speaking
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with management, team, peers, cross-functional teams and business partners.
- Knowledge of operational accounting processes.
