Our Applications Support team plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and effectiveness of our applications. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Application Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and business acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to users of Citi Applications, resolving issues quickly, and driving improvements to help us succeed. This includes performing start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover, as well as assessing risk and impact of production issues and escalating to business and technology management in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. They will also be able to exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, act as a liaison between users/traders and internal technology groups and vendors, and engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to users of Citi Applications
  • Resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Drive improvements to help us succeed
  • Perform start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
  • Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders and internal technology groups and vendors
  • Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-6 years' experience in Application Support role
  • Basic knowledge or interest about apps support procedures, concepts, and other technical areas
  • Participation in some process improvements
  • Previous experience or interest in standardization of procedures and practices
  • Basic Business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products
  • Knowledge/experience of problem Management Tools
  • Worked on Incident management and tracking tools
  • Ability to work under high-pressure situations and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus
  • Technical skills on AIX, Linux, Oracle
  • Messaging: Supporting MQ and NDM
  • Experience in Autosys Job Scheduling and setup
  • Basic understanding of network topology, Firewalls, and Load balancers
  • Deployment Tools: Have worked on enterprise 1-click deployment tools
