Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Processor will report directly to the LASS Accounts Payable Supervisor.

This position is responsible for verifying proper processing of invoices in a timely manner and maintaining excellent communication with internal departments.

A high degree of attention to detail is required to avoid incorrect postings and rework.

This role necessitates building and maintaining positive working relationships between internal customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and Payment of Supplier Invoices: Ensuring accurate and timely payment of supplier invoices.
  • Vendor Communication: Communicating with vendors to resolve document discrepancies.
  • Collaboration with NA Facilities Teams: Resolving document discrepancies by interacting with North America Facilities teams.
  • Accruals and Account Reconciliations: Preparing month-end accruals for business units and account reconciliations to the general ledger.
  • Communication and Process Stability: Proactively maintaining open communication with the North America team to ensure process stability and compliance with requirements.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Actively supporting the implementation of best practices within the department.
  • Process Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for transitioned and existing processes to ensure sufficient standards for business continuity objectives.
  • Compliance and Remediation: Working in accordance with SOX requirements and actively supporting the remediation of identified gaps.
  • Cross-Training: Routinely performing backup responsibilities within North America Shared Services Accounts Payable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or Accounting ('Colegio Tecnico' acceptable).
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Procurement processes.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP accounts payable functionality.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interact with employees, internal customers, and external customers, including strong listening skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve simple issues/problems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, take directions from managers, focus on details, follow work needs, and adhere to established work schedules.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and prioritize individual work to meet various schedules and objectives.
  • Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
