Case Manager Advocate for Personal Injury Claims

**Job Summary**
Serves as a dedicated advocate for In The Network LLC's injured party clients, navigating the complex intersection of healthcare and legal environments in personal injury cases. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the well-being of assigned clients, guiding them through the intricacies of their cases, and providing invaluable support to attorneys and their staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Enter new client files into case management software and communicate effectively with clients to ensure timely and efficient information sharing regarding upcoming appointments, deadlines, and other aspects of their cases.
- Arrange transportation for clients to attend medical treatments when necessary and demonstrate empathy and compassion to understand the difficulties they face.
- Direct clients to law firm counterparts to facilitate communication with insurance companies, medical providers, and the legal team, while maintaining accurate follow-up and organization skills to keep clients on schedule.
- Manage medical requests and treatment plans, gather and confirm receipt of required documents, forms, and authorizations, and collaborate with Client Case Manager Auditors on important issues and correct deficiencies identified during audits and file reviews.
**Requirements**
- Deep knowledge and experience in navigating healthcare and legal processes involved in personal injury cases.
- Knowledge of medical records and legal documents, with working knowledge of HIPAA practices.
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills, with precision in gathering, organizing, and filing documents.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
**Working Conditions**
This role is based in an office setting in Escazú, Costa Rica, and requires standing or sitting for 50% of the time, walking, using hands/fingers to handle or feel objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking/hearing, seeing, carrying weight/lifting, and exposure to normal office conditions.
**Education and Experience**
We seek candidates with a BS/BA in Business (or equivalent experience) and at least two years of legal case management experience, preferably in the insurance industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and email is essential, with strong typing skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English (C1 level or above).
**Salary Range**: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
