The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Expedition Sales Professional to join our team in Escazu, Costa Rica (hybrid position). This role offers exciting travel opportunities both domestically and internationally to attend expedition departures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of TCS and TCS partner products offered for sale, staying updated on new offerings and features.
- Create personalized itineraries combining guest requests with expert insights and recommendations.
- Qualify and proactively follow up with prospective clients to ensure they progress through the sales cycle.
- Sell preferred vendor travel insurance for both products, ensuring seamless coverage for our guests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date real-time client contact information in Salesforce, forecasting sales opportunities to drive business growth.
- Monitor client issues, feedback, deadlines, and deliverables, escalating concerns to the Director of Sales when necessary.
- Provide regular updates to the Sales & BD team on successes, challenges, and proposed plans to address them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and guest services, to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Refine sales skills and strategies with colleagues to drive results and exceed targets.
- Assist with travel agent trainings via webinars and in-person sessions, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Pursue ongoing training sessions to stay abreast of industry developments and company Health & Safety standards.
Requirements
- Requires 5+ years of relationship-based phone selling experience to high net worth individuals, with a proven track record of closing sales.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage relationship-based skills to close sales with high net worth individuals.
- In-depth understanding of the sales process, with a proven ability to deliver results and meet targets.
- Superior planning, organizational, and prioritization skills, with experience establishing and managing sales goals.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with prospective clients.
- Active listener and technology-savvy, proficient in using Salesforce and MS Office.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures calmly and professionally.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits that include health insurance, retirement plan matching, and paid time off.
