Job Summary

Fujitsu is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Work: Willing to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 operations environment.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot network issues via telephone while using a video conference tool.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service skills to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Test Planning: Develop, document, and execute validation test plans on hardware, software, plug-ins, and operating systems.
  • Health Checks: Perform health checks on all hardware and software components.
  • Automated Testing: Develop, document, and execute automated test scripts in a lab and production environment.
  • Software and Hardware Upgrades: Perform software and hardware upgrades in a lab and production environment.
  • Configuration Development: Develop and document hardware and software baseline configurations.
  • MOPs Development: Develop and document MOPs in a lab and production environment.
  • Installation: Perform hardware and software installation in a lab and production environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of working experience in telecommunications.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge in network virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • Telecommunication Technologies: Advanced knowledge of telecommunication technologies, including SONET, DWDM, and OTN.
  • IP Protocols: Advanced knowledge of IP protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS.
  • Routing and Switching: Advanced knowledge of routing and switching technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Detailed analytical abilities and technical writing skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, including reading and writing.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel 50% of the time, or as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Engineering and 10 years of working experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Fujitsu telecommunications products.
  • Certifications: Cisco and Juniper routing/switching certifications.
  • Vendor Evaluations: Comfortable performing product vendor evaluations.
  • Orchestrators: Advanced knowledge of orchestrators.
  • Server Installation: Experience with server installation and server management.
  • Cisco POD Technology: Working knowledge of Cisco POD technology.
