Job Overview

Marriott Worldwide is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our retail team in Los Cabos, Mexico. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall success of our retail operation, driving sales growth, improving guest satisfaction, and maximizing financial performance.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000-$120,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Department Operations and Budgets

  • Supervise and manage employees to achieve exceptional results.
  • Manage all day-to-day operations, including inventory control, purchasing, and visual merchandising.
  • Monitor operating statements, budget worksheets, and payroll progress reports to ensure profits and losses are accurately documented.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective communication with Corporate buying staff to position shop buying strategies properly.

Leading Discipline Teams

  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Advocate sound financial/business decision making and demonstrate honesty/integrity.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

Providing and Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

  • Provide services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations and respond to guest problems and complaints.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in retail or related professional area, or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Fashion Merchandising, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related major, with 2 years experience in retail or related professional area.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
