Airport Operations Team Member

United Airlines is seeking a highly motivated and skilled sales professional to join our Airport Operations team in Curridabat, San Jose. As the face of our customers, this role will play a crucial part in providing exceptional travel experiences.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for increasing direct local sales at each assigned office by proactively prospecting potential clients and providing outstanding service to customers visiting our City Ticket Office (CTO) as well as via phone.
  • Sales Representative responsible for supporting contracted / managed agent and corporate customer experience by offering comprehensive service and sales support via Jetstream.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve and exceed established sales and ancillary goals assigned for the year.
  2. Proactively prospect and qualify for new direct customers for the CTO by conducting frequent telemarketing campaigns, cold calls and sales calls to grow customer database.
  3. Participate in joint sales calls with CTO Supervisor, Sales Department team and airline partners as well as key events with the purpose of capturing new prospects.
  4. Frequent and consistent communication with CTO assigned customers, travel agencies and corporate/PerksPlus accounts.
  5. Follow up on corporate accounts and premier customers monitoring their travel activity and calls to reinforce United presence.
  6. Responsible to issue/reissue of domestic and international tickets for travel on United Airlines and other airline partners.
  7. Comply 100% with United Airlines Internal Audit guidelines, policies and procedures.
  8. Keep updated and informed with all United policies and procedures to provide excellent customer service.
  9. Process group requests received from direct customers and travel agencies by providing a group contract including all terms and conditions related to deposits, ticketing date, cancellation, itinerary, and authorized fare.
  10. Serve as an additional point of contact for service related issues within Latin America's sales organization for United's contracted agencies and corporate customers. Providing timely and informative responses with innovative solutions that create win/win situations for both the customer and United Airlines.
  11. Ensure the highest level of customer services is maintained.

About You:

  • You have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • You possess strong sales, analytical, customer service, and communication skills.
  • You are able to work under pressure and flexibility with working shifts; showing willingness to perform new assignments.
  • You have 2+ years previous sales experience.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (fluent).
  • You have excellent Technology usage skills.
  • You demonstrate to be an excellent problem solver.
