About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Operations Manager to join our team at Convera, the largest non-bank B2B cross-border payments company in the world.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global organization that leverages decades of industry expertise and technology-led payment solutions to deliver smarter money movements to our customers.

As a Compliance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring Convera is complying with different Sanctions regulations and internal controls. You will operate within the Back Office organization under the Compliance Operations unit and oversee daily workflows to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operations management: Oversee daily workflows and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Employee support: Help resolve employee issues, escalations, and disputes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure team members adhere to Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
  • Team supervision: Supervise ~15 staff positions, evaluate performance, and provide coaching.
  • Documentation updates: Ensure procedural updates are reflected in the internal team's documentation.
  • New hire onboarding: Ensure required training and access for new hires are provided in a timely manner.
  • Daily reporting: Report to senior management and support them with daily tasks and business needs.
  • Internal improvements: Foster improvements internally and represent Compliance Operations team in projects among the organization.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of people manager experience.
  • An effective leadership style and ability to mentor team members.
  • The ability to develop employees based on their individual strengths.
  • Prior experience in AML Compliance, Operations, Payments, and/or Know your Customer (KYC) field is a plus.
  • +2 years of experience or certification in Project Management is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with diverse groups in the organization.
  • Problem-solving skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to show initiative and drive improvements in your area of responsibility.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, management, banking, or a related field preferred is a plus.
