**About the Role**

The Commercial Executive plays a pivotal role in the Microsoft Accounts Team, serving as a key sales resource to translate customer software requirements into licensing solutions. As the chief negotiator on the team, this individual leads the commercial strategy with customers to bring innovative solutions that maximize investments in Microsoft technology.

Success in this position is measured by growing the licensing annuity business, closing deals within guidance, and increasing customer satisfaction. Key performance indicators include meeting or exceeding sales objectives such as revenue, on-time agreement renewals, up-sell/cross-sell. The ideal candidate will demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in the contracting process, mastering operational complexities to get deals executed and invoiced.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with various sellers and business stakeholders to achieve revenue targets.
  2. Leverage critical resources (e.g., business desk, sales support, partners, finance) to drive business outcomes.
  3. Orchestrate high levels of strategic conversations internally or externally.
  4. Proactively engage with others to align commercial strategy with customer needs.
  5. Serve as a trusted business partner and advisor to partners, ensuring solutions align with customer commercial strategic needs.
  6. Act as a trusted advisor to determine how commercial licensing and contracting should be changed to best meet customer needs.
  7. Drive accountability in resolving cross-functional issues to a successful conclusion.
  8. Engage in a feedback loop with corporate to improve/simplify contractual commercial to meet business needs or market opportunities.
  9. Contribute to overall success by driving strong team collaboration, cross-segment, and cross-group collaboration.
  10. Contribute to teams by sharing knowledge, supporting the onboarding of others in the same role, and proactively seeking help.
