About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team at Gensler. As a key member of our Human Resources organization, you will provide critical support to our Costa Rica operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services and programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR consulting and support to our Costa Rica operations, including new hires, orientation, performance management, employee relations, and terminations.
  • Act as a coach/counsel to team members and managers in highly sensitive, confidential, or complex situations, under the guidance of the Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Administer, monitor, coordinate, maintain, and ensure compliance with areas such as affirmative action, anti-discrimination, health and safety programs, and laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing data analytics and recommending courses of action.
  • Manage and enhance the new hire experience and culture engagement activities.
  • Conduct or participate in employee relations counseling and exit interviews.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Lead or participate on project teams to develop and execute new policies, programs, or tools within the company.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for HR initiatives and guidelines.
  • Other HR activities and duties that pertain to the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, compliance, or employee relations-related experience.
  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Experience in HR Operations, Center of Excellence, or HR Shared Services, and policies/procedures.
  • Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with the ability to produce timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking, influencing, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
