We are seeking an experienced Sr Technical Support Engineer to join our team and provide top-notch support to our customers and partners. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where you will provide technical assistance, troubleshoot customer issues, collaborate with engineering on various product matters, and contribute to projects related to support tools, knowledge management, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for enterprise customers
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Splunk product
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to establish the root cause of problems
  • Document solutions and participate in online forum support
  • Reproduce customer issues and escalate to engineering as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience with UNIX, Windows, and Mac OS X
  • Understanding of regular expressions and Python scripting
  • Knowledge in Perl, shell scripting, XML, and HTML
  • Able to isolate problems between hardware and software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
