Tender & Contracting Coordinator Job Summary

At Pfizer, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tender & Contracting Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Institutional Business team, you will play a critical role in supporting and coordinating our business in Central America, ensuring that we meet our strategic business goals and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the Institutional Tenders Business in Central America, working closely with the Tenders Platform, Distributors, and Commercial roles in the region.
  • Responsible for the implementation of Tenders Sales Direct Projects in Central America.
  • Support the Biopharma Latin America Tender Team with PAHO special projects, identifying opportunities and needs for Central America.
  • Lead the Business Intelligence Tender to maximize opportunities and ensure a smart participation of Pfizer in every institutional opportunity where we can bid, improving our Tender Success Rate in CAC countries.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the tender market environment, competitors, and customer needs to develop new strategies and tactics for the tender business.
  • Responsible for ensuring Company Tender requirements in each CAC country of the Region with Ministers of Health and Social Securities.
  • Monitoring of tender activities by the distributors to ensure effectiveness of our participation in all bids.
  • Clarification of bidding conditions and management of the tender preparation.
  • Monitoring of the bid management to ensure it is aligned with the Pfizer and distributors' requirements.
  • Review of the preparation of pricing, verification of source of supply requirements, and lead time for delivery of the goods to the market.
  • Implement and ensure the Pfizer tenders strategy with our external Strategic Partners in CAC.
  • In charge of implementing and managing the Sales Direct Projects in Central America.
  • In charge of supporting the PAHO project in the Region, identifying opportunities for our countries.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Pharmacist, or related discipline preferably.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years in Tenders, Commercial, Project Management, or similar type roles preferred.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English language.
  • Experience in the institutional procurement system of all the countries across CAC and knowledge in the procurement system regulation (Ley de Contratación Administrativa) will be highly desirable.
