About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our HR department. As an end-to-end payroll expert, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, including audits and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
  • Conduct audits as required by headquarters, maintaining the highest standards of compliance;
  • Recruit finance, customer services, and technical positions, providing exceptional support throughout the hiring process;
  • Evaluate and create hiring reports to inform business decisions;
  • Maintain physical and digital files for employees, ensuring seamless access to essential information;
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and propose solutions to ensure efficient hiring processes;
  • Coordinate job interviews, conduct exit interviews, and analyze employee departures to inform future improvements.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • An advanced degree in Business Administration or Human Resources;
  • In-depth knowledge of Costa Rican labor laws and regulations;
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills, enabling you to provide counsel on local technical payment regulations;
  • A proven track record of accurately managing payroll processes and related activities;
  • The ability to independently solve complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating when necessary;
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities;
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or above;
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with expertise in payroll management software like Softland system.
