Sales Team Supervisor Role

A sales supervisor plays a pivotal role in driving sales team performance by overseeing daily activities and managing assigned territories to ensure all goals are met or exceeded. They set and monitor individual team members' objectives, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement customer-specific business plans to uncover new opportunities, increase sales, and secure territory growth.
  • Communicate daily with teams to inform them of sales tracking, customer, and product information.
  • Prepare forecasts for monthly and quarterly performance by customer.
  • Assign duties to team members to ensure coverage and completion of all relevant tasks.
  • Keep updated profiles on all accounts to anticipate business needs.
  • Participate in vendor-sponsored and corporate training to attain new and existing product, industry, and company knowledge.
  • Establish consistent and frequent competitive intelligence reports from customers to Sales Manager.
  • Maintain records, performance information, and documentation.
  • Responsible for team reward and recognition programs.

Requirements:

  • Analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely fashion.
  • Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
  • Build solid, effective working relationships with others.
  • Coach others in the development of their skills.
  • Negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.
  • Prepare/analyze appropriate reports and other business correspondence.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED plus the established minimum requirements for the position.
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the Sales or IT industry is a plus.
