Technical Leadership
The Vmware Expert serves as a technical escalation point for Workplace Virtualization Systems Management Specialists, providing technical leadership to internal delivery teams, customers, and Customer Account Teams regarding all technical discussions, major incidents, complex RFS activities, etc. This expert-level position requires strong technical skills in one or more virtualization technologies, including VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal delivery teams, customers, and Customer Account Teams.
- Work closely with customers to review their IT environment, remediate technological gaps, develop remediation plans, and provide technical recommendations.
- Ensure the stability of the customer's Virtualization environment and review and implement any changes to the environment as required with minimum to no impact to customer business.
- Lead the resolution of all major incidents in the customer's Virtualization environment and provide technical resolution within the agreed SLA timeframe.
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Able to articulate technical issues and resolutions using non-technical language for understanding.
- Knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change process.
- Knowledge of client ticketing system and support tools (when applicable).
