Overview of the Position:

The Global Leader for Vendor Management is a pivotal Strategic Leadership role aimed at enhancing Boston Scientific's Source to Pay vision, focusing on three primary objectives: exceptional stakeholder experiences, operational excellence, and value generation. This leader will collaborate with other Source to Pay leaders across the entire process and will be accountable for the global effectiveness and efficiency of the Vendor Management process.

The role involves close collaboration with various teams including Global Operations (Sourcing, GBS Service Delivery, Quality, Legal, Global Compliance, Global IT, Finance, Tax), suppliers, and a diverse group of shoppers to shape and inform our transformation strategy.

Key technologies utilized in this role include SAP ECC and S4/Hana, SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, MDG (Master Data Governance), Sirion, VIM (Vendor Invoice Management), Tableau, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the Vendor Management process and collaborate with other leaders on the comprehensive Indirect Source to Pay process. This encompasses: Master Data Governance; Supplier onboarding, setup, and maintenance; Supply base strategy; and Supplier Management including scorecards, risk management, and performance management. Drive the strategic vision, roadmap, and design of the Indirect Source to Pay process while meeting customer needs. Champion the transformation of the Indirect Source to Pay process and technologies by leveraging benchmarks and best practices. Enhance process efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring global alignment of process and technology standards. Influence and align the organization to support the process. Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure service level agreements are met. Educate and sustain the global operations team. Ensure transparency and adherence to policies and procedures throughout the end-to-end process. Promote and enforce governance related to relevant master data. Recommend and influence change management strategies to secure leadership support and customer adoption. Manage projects by prioritizing, determining project teams and governance, approving requirements, and fulfilling roles as outlined in the project plan. Assess and prioritize process and technical improvements to determine the best delivery strategy. Foster a culture of process excellence, service excellence, and continuous value enhancement.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree preferred. Over 5 years of progressive global ownership and/or Vendor Management experience in a large multinational organization. Over 5 years of experience with ERP systems, Vendor Management, and analytics technologies, preferably SAP/SAP Products, SAP Ariba, MDG, Tableau, and Power BI. Strategic mindset with the ability to establish and manage a strategic agenda in a global context. Strong leadership skills with the capability to achieve organizational alignment. Expertise in delivering value propositions through continuous improvement and Lean methodologies. Global perspective on end-to-end processes. Knowledge of global service delivery operations. Thought leadership in the Indirect Source to Contract Process and the comprehensive Indirect Source to Pay Process within a large multinational company. Proven experience in project management, product management, and system implementation methodologies. Over 5 years of experience leading projects or products or implementing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile methodologies. Proficiency in English. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
