**Job Summary**
:Samtec is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the MEG department. As a key member of our high-performance team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying innovative solutions to complex challenges in the HDR area.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Review and provide solutions to tooling, machine, or process concerns related to product quality, safety, and new products.
- Assist with production troubleshooting processes and provide engineering assistance in the debug of incoming tooling/processes.
- Collaborate with local tool shops in Samtec's tool manufacturing to provide engineering assistance and support.
- Design and debug new tools and processes for new products.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to address new engineering challenges and implement short and long-term actions.
- Perform other job-related functions as requested by management.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
- 5-8 years of experience as a manufacturing or tooling engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional English proficiency and engineering technical literacy.
- Ability to lead and work in high-performance teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Customer-driven focus and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Project Management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpretation of engineering prints and drawings.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerance stack-up concepts and methods.
- CSWA/CSWP Certifications (desirable).
