Senior Microbiologist

The Opportunity

At Abbott, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through innovative medical technologies. As a Sr Microbiologist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide microbiological support to our manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and implement process monitoring and metrics to maintain microbiological quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve facility issues related to sterilization, environmental monitoring, and microbiological methods.
• Analyze data to optimize sterilization processes and participate in audits of sterilization, test lab, and biological product vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field.
• Master's degree in Microbiology, Science, Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical industry in microbiology and/or sterilization roles.
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint).
• Fully bilingual (English - Spanish).
