Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at MicroVention. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our end-users.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via remote support tools, phone, or in-person.
Coordinate and communicate interdepartmental requests and tasks.
Triage, prioritize, communicate, document, escalate, and resolve assigned incidents through our IT Service Management system.
Install and maintain software using SCCM, TeamViewer, or other methods.
Oversee vendor management for IT services, including printing, software licensing, equipment, and recycle management.
Manage the hardware equipment life cycle, including implementation, upgrade, decommissioning, and disposal.
Troubleshoot hardware issues, including workstations, mobile devices, network hardware, and peripherals.
Document resolutions and create job aids or instructions for our IT department knowledgebase and intranet.
Follow company and IT procedures for processing incidents and changes within the IT environment.
Maintain documentation on setups, logging, client, server, and networking equipment configurations, and policies or procedures.
Troubleshoot initial LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity issues on workstations and laptops.
Train end-users in basic usage of Windows operating systems, Microsoft365 applications, Adobe products, and Apple products as needed.
Demonstrate understanding of single sign-on (SSO), multifactor authentication (MFA), cloud services, Windows servers, Active Directory, and client/server architecture.
Help improve workflow processes with computer replacements, upgrades, or inventory management.
Maintain knowledge of current and new features related to Microsoft products.
Participate in departmental projects and develop project management skills.
Manage escalated technical incidents and ensure timely and effective resolution.
Lead and mentor the technical team, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting continuous learning and development.
Adhere to applicable laws and regulations, quality management system processes, and requirements, and demonstrate ethics and integrity in all matters.
