Job Overview

Job Summary

The Lead Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. This includes preparing special meals, pulling food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator, and ensuring proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  2. Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
  3. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
  4. Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
  5. Communicate assistance needed during busy periods and inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
  6. Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out of stock menu items.

Requirements

The Lead Cook will be required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time and reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The Lead Cook will also be required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
