The Opportunity

This role is based in Costa Rica - Alajuela and involves working in a Contact Center environment under close supervision on defined tasks while following established procedures.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing product support for remote monitoring inquiries and complaints from healthcare professionals, Abbott field personnel, patients, and internal departments.
  • Documenting patient and clinic system complaints by preparing Field Contact Reports (FCR's) and forwarding them to the Product Performance Group.
  • Triage calls, following approved troubleshooting procedures, and seeking guidance from other personnel when necessary.
  • After-hours 'on call' support (rotating among other department employees), answering questions from customers and Abbott field personnel, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Maintaining professional, positive, and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Supporting Company initiatives as identified by management and adhering to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory requirements.
  • Complying with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and other regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree.
  • +1 year experience in a customer service, product support, IT, telecommunications, or related role.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Fluent bilingual skills in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in the biotech, bio-instruments, or medical devices industries would be beneficial, as well as familiarity with enterprise business models.
