Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Tier 2 security and SD-WAN team as a Network Security Operations Supervisor. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing daily security and SD-WAN operational activities, leading a team of security and SD-WAN specialists, and ensuring that established processes, procedures, policies, and troubleshooting guides are followed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage daily security and SD-WAN operational activities, including troubleshooting complex issues.
- Lead and coach the Tier 2 security and SD-WAN team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Develop and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a NOC or repair supervisor at a large 24x7 MSP/ISP.
- 4+ years of experience as a senior NOC or repair technician resolving Internet, networking, security, and SD-WAN service issues.
- Demonstrable understanding of OSI layers and troubleshooting techniques across them for all applications/services.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet FW/SD-WAN/Wi-Fi/switches, Velo/VMware/Broadsoft SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki routers/switches/Wi-Fi, PEPlink and/or BEC mobile wireless routers and modems, and CLI-based BGP/OSPF/VLANs/AAA/security routing and switching on Cisco, Adtran, and Fortinet devices.
- 3 years of experience modifying monitoring and ticket platforms to optimize notification and handling processes and intervals.
- Utilize SNMP, ICMP, scripts, API, closed portals, vendor OSS/BSS platforms, Syslog, RADIUS logs, SNMP alerts, and TACACS logs to improve the customer experience and Tier 2 event awareness and performance.
