Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager of Corporate Insurance, you will oversee the evaluation of insurance clauses in vendor agreements and establish a framework for assessing, analyzing, and managing contractual risks linked to our organization's third-party agreements. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that our contracts protect our organization by aligning insurance as a risk management tool with the nature of services provided. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a risk assessment framework to identify and document all contractual risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate vendor agreements, pinpointing potential risks associated with the proposed services.
  • Collaborate with business units to comprehend the services offered, business requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Formulate risk mitigation plans and suggest modifications to contract terms to reduce potential risks related to insurance provisions.
  • Work alongside legal advisors and other stakeholders to negotiate and amend contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Engage with business partners and vendors to ensure that insurance aligns with the financial risks accepted by third parties.
  • Obtain and verify insurance certificates and essential documentation for finalized contracts.
  • Design and implement a process for the annual verification of vendor compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to provide current guidance on insurance requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identifying and prioritizing potential risks associated with contract terms, delivery, intellectual property, and other relevant factors.
  • Develop and maintain a database to monitor risk exceptions.
  • Coordinate with the third-party risk management team to provide insights on contract risks for suppliers and their impact on overall supplier risk.
  • Identify and implement best practices in contract risk management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, risk management, law, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial insurance, risk management, contract analysis, or a similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the capability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with business services.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional certification in risk management, contract management, or related fields is preferred.
