Job Description:
The Deal Management Specialist will collaborate with Sales teams to deliver on non-standard low/medium complex quote requests within Micro Focus guidelines.
This role will also act as support to the broader Commercial Operations team on higher complexity quotes, deals, and related processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the handling of pending quotes and their approval as well as reviewing and analyzing said quotes and submitting them for approval to stakeholders.
- Offer insight to the AMS Sales team concerning which documentation is needed to accept customers' orders and ensure they are sent for booking.
- Act as a medium between customers, business units, sales population, rev rec, legal, regional management, order fulfillment, local financial management, and general management for non-standard/low/medium complex deals.
- Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of Micro Focus and general business policies (approval matrix, IFRS revenue recognition, etc.).
- Sometimes, Support all departments participating in Micro Focus' sales plans with sales commission calculations and payments on a case-by-case basis.
- Provide insight on low/medium complexity proposals and contracts for software offerings that conform to Micro Focus guidelines and procedures.
- Take ownership of the full quote approval process for non-standard/low/medium complex deals.
- Communicate with and educate Software sales teams and standard/low/medium complex offerings (including standard contract terms & conditions and pricing).
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another related field or relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of direct experience in the Software industry in a business-related function.
- Proven success in drafting contracts.
- Firm grasp of basic business software including Microsoft Office products.
- Previous experience with Salesforce Lightening is preferred.
- Deep understanding of business principles and accounting software concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to write compelling and accurate copy.
- Professional fluency in both written and spoken English.
