**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Data Maintenance Analyst I reports to the IT Project Manager and is responsible for:

- Master files maintenance: data entry, management and clean-up.
- Participate in regional/global projects as required.
- Data analysis, validation and transformation.
- Ensure data quality for proper business analysis & decision making.
- Interactive and proactive communication with the business
- Interact and collaborate with internal clients to understand data specifications and resolve data quality issues

**LOCATION: Cartago, Costa Rica**

**WORKPLACE TYPE: Hybrid (2x per week at the office)**

**PRIMARY DUTIES**:
The Data Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining data in the master data management system and associated databases. The primary function of the position is to ensure the integrity of the data. This will include evaluating, validating & analyzing the information to support the business day-to-day activities. This role will also be responsible for monitoring and resolving data related support requests from business users.

The Data Analyst actively enters data, participates in IT-projects as active member related to data set-up and Special Matter Expert for projects affecting master file maintenance, standards and procedures.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Student of Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.
- 1-3 years experience in a data processing and/or databases analysis
- English spoken >90%
- Ability to act as in a consultative manner with both business and IT
- Strong oral and written communication skills-both face-to-face and over the phone
- Technical or business education with IT background (preferred)
- At least 1 year of business experience in different areas (preferred)
