Job Description

As an Insights Specialist within the Global Business Services (GBS) Data Enablement team, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting ERP reporting and data solutions that power our global operations. You'll design, develop, and maintain reporting capabilities across critical customer‑focused process areas including Master Data (MDM), Order‑to‑Cash (OTC), Make‑to‑Order (MTO), and Procure‑to‑Pay (PTP).

This position requires strong process knowledge and technical system expertise, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to leadership. Your work will drive process improvements, enhance decision‑making, and promote global alignment across regions, functions, and systems.

As an Insights Specialist in the Global Business Services (GBS) Data Enablement organization, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people in the world by:

• Serving as a primary point of contact for support of complex data questions and issues.
• Designing, developing, and delivering analytics solutions that enhance operational functionality and efficiency across all GBS process areas.
• Defining and delivering optimal process and system outcomes, including documentation and training.
• Collaborating with geographically dispersed process teams to achieve business results and support transformation.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple process organizations including Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality & Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, and corporate IT.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Insights, Reporting & Automation
  • Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to monitor key performance metrics for Commercial Operations.
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Snowflake to visualize trends and deliver actionable insights.
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc analyses to support performance management, process improvement and automation/AI/ML initiatives.
  • Document and maintain data definitions, field mappings, and reporting logic for consistency and transparency.
• Data Strategy
  • Partner with process teams to design KPI-driven reports and dashboards that measure operational efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with data engineering to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and consistency across systems.
  • Uphold data quality standards and maintain comprehensive documentation for operational reporting.
  • Advocate for self-service analytics by promoting the use of reporting tools.
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights and recommendations for business operations.
  • Identify and forecast performance trends to proactively address risks and opportunities.
  • Serve as a primary resource for resolving complex data-related questions and issues.
• Process Optimization
  • Analyze current customer operations processes to uncover inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional projects focused on process redesign, automation, and operational excellence.
• Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, enabling data-driven decision-making to improve customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align metrics with business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher AND (six) 6+ years of experience in data-driven operational roles such as Data and/or Business Analytics, ERP Implementations, Operations Management, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field in a private, public, or military environment
• Advanced English C1
• Advanced proficiency in the Power BI environment for visualization/analysis
• Strong database capabilities (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, SQL)
• Understanding of SAP's MTO, OTC, and/or PTP processes and tables
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional process transformation initiatives
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — able to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, process improvement frameworks, or automation technologies
• Experience with SAP S4, Vistex, MS-Dynamics, Salesforce, and related systems
• Experience working in regulated industries. (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharma)

Work Location

• Based in Costa Rica, Hybrid, Belén Heredia
• Travel: Up to 10% (to Solventum offices or deployment sites)
