Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational excellence, safety, and physical integrity of the property, with direct oversight of Landscaping & Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Safety (Security) departments. This role ensures high-quality guest experience, regulatory compliance, cost control, and strong team leadership within a wellness hospitality environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Property & Facility Management

  • Oversee overall condition, functionality, and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, spa, gym, kitchen, farm, medical facilities, and back-of-house
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs for laundry, kitchen equipment, water treatment systems, pools, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Manage inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Coordinate regular fumigation and pest-control services
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure timely corrective actions
  • Plan, justify, and execute repairs, upgrades, and capital improvements
  • Present cost-saving initiatives to management while maintaining quality
  • Control operating expenses and departmental budgets

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local hospitality, labor, health, and safety regulations
  • Coordinate legally required testing and reporting for pool systems and WWTP
  • Maintain licenses, permits, and certifications
  • Implement emergency response and security procedures
  • Oversee safety and security operations including access control and incident reporting
  • Conduct safety inspections, drills, and staff training

Housekeeping Operations

  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards across the property
  • Enforce housekeeping SOPs aligned with wellness hospitality standards
  • Manage housekeeping supplies, chemicals, and linen inventory
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to resolve room defects promptly
  • Ensure rooms and public areas are guest-ready and consistently maintained

Staffing & Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train staff for Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Security
  • Create and manage staff schedules aligned with occupancy and events
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and service-oriented workplace culture
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
  • Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in compliance with labor laws

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluent in English.
  • Extensive experience in hospitality managing front of the house and back of the house operations.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven expertise in cost control, inventory management, and theft prevention.
  • Proficiency in POS and hotel management systems.
  • Ability to implement streamlined administrative procedures and operational best practices.
  • Schedule: To be confirmed (1 day off per week).
