**Job Title**: EHS Engineer I

**Main Purpose of Job**: (Brief Summary)
- This position is responsible to provide a good occupational safety, health and environmental conservation programs in Viant Costa Rica. Leading this imitative can achieve and ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations at the country level.

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities (List most important first)
- Responsible for assess and implement good health and safety practices in administrative and production areas.
- Execute periodical inspection according EHS standards.
- Coordinate EHS Commission and Emergency brigade.
- Assure compliance of current legislation on labor risk prevention, research and opportune communication of incidents.
- Responsible of follow up to close actions in the different EHS programs or activities (Safety observations, stretching program, ergonomic activities, environmental actions, CSR programs).
- Control and promote the reduction of labor incidents and work-related illness.
- Promote and support the sustaining of 6s programs.
- Lead the efforts to have the best condition in the work places, ergonomic compliance issues, postural and host of people.
- Control, evaluate and improve all the necessary actions at EHS perspective to find a high reliability of the total facility operation. Ensure that all safety and environmental signs are complete, in place and updated when is required.
- Ensure life/safety systems are operable at all times. This includes but not limited to sprinkler system, smoke and fire detection system, fire extinguishers, signage, and evacuation plans as well as fire prevention.
- Promote and coordinate the operation of the Emergency Brigades of the plant.
- Manage and promote an adequate strategy of recycling in the plant.
- Coordinate all the actions related with the sustainability programs and initiatives in Viant Costa Rica
- Coordinate and Perform the actions required in the EHS Program according with the ISO 45001 and ISO14001 Standards
- Coordinate to have the relationship with the Environmental regent and the Chemical regent and manage their work in our plant.
- Execute periodic inspections in all the work stations of the plant in order to verify if all people follow the applicable procedures in EHS field.
- Promote the execution at least one time per year and per site evacuation activities in the CR plant, evaluate results and implement actions needed.
- Perform trainings about EHS Topics.
- Support the review of all new process, machinery and equipment comply with the EHS standards
- Support various projects product transfer in case if you need to perform some processing with respect to the laws of CR

Knowledge / Education
- EHS engineer degree or related engineer carrer degree.
- Knowledge over EHS Legislation and international standards as OSHA standard.
- Knowledge in PC (Word, Excel, power point, others).
- Advance English knowledge.

Work Experience
- 1 - 3 years experience on EHS Management Systems at Manufacturer Industry.
- ___________________________________________
Skills / Competencies
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- To have English knowledge ( conversation, comprehension and writing) at least 85%
- To know about regulations and laws applicable at industrial plant.
- Need to have good relationship with internal at external people in the company.
- Ordered, positive, patient, realistic and optimistic person
- Capable to leader internal groups, contractors and emergency situations.
- Good communication with different kind of people( Managers, technicians, operators, suppliers and contractors)
- Innovative person
- Person skilled in the decision making
