Summary

The responsibilies include assisting in the overseeing of the entire Rooms Division with the help of the Rooms Executive. Duties may also include training, staff development and scheduling.

**Duties and responsibilities**

Hotel assistant manager takes on the comprehensive management and monitoring duties of all the departments of the hotel. The duties and responsibilities of hotel assistant manager are:

- Supervising the daily activities of various departments in a hotel such as lodging, boarding, food and beverages, additional facilities in rooms, room service, customer service and housekeeping
- Monitoring the budget of daily operations
- Making decisions, along with the manager, regarding various operations of hotel
- Performing duties of general manager in his absence
- Ensuring that the hotel is well stocked and not short of anything
- Playing a very important parting recruiting new staff and their training
- Ensuring that the customers are happy with services of the hotel
- Evaluating performance of staff and services
- Making regular reports to the general manager of the hotel regarding operations, budgets and performance of the hotel
