Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Pastry Baker to join our culinary team at Marriott International, Inc. As a Lead Pastry Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and other sweet and savory treats.


Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare and bake pastries, breads, and other sweet and savory treats according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs and bakers to ensure efficient and effective production of high-quality products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the culinary experience for our guests.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure high-quality products and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements



  • 2+ years of experience as a pastry chef or lead baker in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pastry preparation and baking, with a focus on quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
